Merchant’s Tea Room and Tea Garden
A traditional tea room within Merchant’s House serving morning coffee, light lunches and afternoon tea using vintage crockery, cutlery and tablecloths.
An array of mouth watering selections to choose from – freshly baked home made scones, cakes and slices. Devon cream teas. On a sunny day you can enjoy our enclosed tea garden.
Altogether truly delicious!
We are proud to be running both the Heritage Centre and Tea Room from the Merchant’s House, Market Place, Colyton which is situated within The East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
The Merchant’s House is on the East Devon Way, a long distance 40 mile walking trail through the heart of this beautiful countryside.
The area is characterised by intimate wooded combes, vast areas of heathland, fertile river valleys and breathtaking cliffs and hilltops. It includes the East Devon section of the Jurassic Coast – England’s first natural World Heritage Site – and is a living, working landscape shaped by many centuries of farming activity.
