Situated in the beautiful Axe Valley, the Wildlife Park is a great family outing where you can see a variety of birds and mammals – from tiny chipmunks to the zebras in the animal paddocks. Started by the Romans, the stone being used for St Paul’s, Winchester and Exeter Cathedrals, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London and Hampton Court. Guided tours tell the history of the caves, including the lives of smugglers, fishermen, lace makers and quarrymen. Not suitable for very young children. Open Easter to October.
