Members of the former Axe Valley Tangent Club were welcomed to Colyton Heritage Centre this evening, 11 March 2015. The Club received a briefing from volunteer members of Colyton Parish History Society who run the Heritage Centre. Roger Hutton spoke about the long history of the town of Colyton and Jacquie McCullogh talked about the history of the Merchant’s House, where the Heritage Centre is located, and in particular about recent research into the historically important mural above the fireplace.

The Heritage Centre will shortly reopen for its second summer season on 28 March.
