Volunteer members of Colyton Parish History Society today attended a refresher training session at the Heritage Centre in preparation for its reopening on Saturday, 28 March 2015, after the winter break.   Members were briefed about some of the new displays in the Heritage Centre – including one detailing some exciting recent local finds such as a rare medieval gold ‘noble’ of Edward 111 (AD1327 – 1377) which was discovered in the Parish of Colyton in 2014.  Members also received training in how to assist visitors to use the equipment and tools in the Centre to conduct their own research into family history or the history of their own home..

The Heritage Centre will be open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 am to 4.00 pm and on Saturday from 10 am to 1.00 pm.
